Rockets legend Rudy Tomjanovich was selected for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame over the weekend and he joins Otto Strong and Aaron Berlin for a wide ranging discussion of his career as a player and coach. “Rudy T” is one of the classiest men to ever participate in the sport. Incredibly, he is the first University of Michigan basketball alum to join the Hall of Fame. He shares his memories of coaching Hakeem Olajuwon, Kobe Bryant (when he coached the Lakers), and Kevin Garnett (in the Olympics). He also shares memories of winning gold as the 2000 Olympic head coach, the genesis of his famous quote “Never underestimate the heart of a champion,” and so much more. Rudy also discusses who he will be asking to introduce him at the induction ceremony on August 29th.
