There are 1,404 full time coaches and assistant coaches in men’s division one college hoop and only one is a woman. She is Edniesha Curry of the University of Maine. “Coach Eddy” discusses her journey and describes how she traveled the world doing different coaching gigs and honing her skills. Coach Eddy downplays the “adjustments” that need to be made for a woman coaching men. She correctly points out that men who coach women are in a similar situation and nobody discusses “adjustments” they have to make. Coach Eddy is straightforward, at times blunt, and clearly equipped to handle any “coach-player” situation that comes up. She isn’t a household name now, but she soon will be.
